Dr. Rashmi Chauhan
Rashmi Chauhan is an experienced educationist and currently working as Senior Project Consultant (Training) at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi. She was also an ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow at Jamia Millia Islamia (2022–2024). Dr. Chauhan holds a Ph.D. in Education from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, where her research focused on “Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for the Professional Development of Teacher Educators.” She is UGC-NET qualified and has pursued multiple degrees including M.Ed., B.Ed., M.Sc. (Botany), PGDDE, and a Master’s in Distance Education.
Dr. Chauhan has over 10 years of professional experience in the field of education, including previous roles as Lecturer at Amity Institute of Education and Executive Officer (Teacher Education) at the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). She has also worked as PGT (Biology) in reputed CBSE schools.
Her areas of expertise include MOOCs design and delivery, blended and online teaching-learning, ICT integration in education, NEP 2020 implementation, open and distance learning, and inclusive and sustainable education. She developed and offered MOOC titled “Plagiarism: Concept and Precautions” on the CANVAS platform, which reached nearly 1500 learners, and “Understanding the TPACK framework” on Gnomio platform.
She has authored more than a dozen research publications in UGC-CARE and peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters in edited books on topics such as educational technology, NEP 2020, SDG 4, Indian Knowledge Systems, and innovation in teacher education. Dr. Chauhan has presented papers in various national and international conferences, in India and abroad.
As a committed academic contributor, she has participated in numerous faculty development programs, national seminars, and training workshops, and has contributed to e-content development for national MOOC platforms. Her work bridges traditional Indian pedagogical wisdom with modern educational technology, making her a sought-after speaker and trainer in the field.
