Dr. Sandhya Vaid

Dr. Sandhya Vaid is a dynamic academician who possesses research specialization in the field of teacher education. She is presently working as a Senior Project Consultant (Training) in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Warden Training Project at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi.

During her M.Phil. (Education) from the Department of Educational Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, she explored the implementation of NCFTE 2009, which enhanced her understanding of issues related to school internship in pre-service teacher education in the Indian context. Her Ph.D. research focused on the feasibility and effectiveness of the lesson study approach in India. She is UGC-JRF qualified and has attended several short-term research enhancement courses.

With a foundational academic background in B.El.Ed. (Miranda House) and M.A. Education (IASE, Jamia Millia Islamia), she began her professional journey as a Project Fellow in the CIET, NCERT project titled ‘Development of Audio-Visual Educational Programs for Students, Teachers and Adult Education’. Dr. Sandhya has authored multiple research papers in reputed national and international journals.
