NIEPA undertakes a number of sponsored as well as in-house research projects for which project Staff are appointed as per the approval accorded by the Competent Authority. These positions are purely temporary/contractual; and are managed keeping in view the specific requirements of individual research studies and development programmes. The Institute undertakes projects and sponsored studies, funded by its Nodal Ministry, other Departments/States, PSUs and the International Organizations. To handle all the administrative activities pertaining to various research projects, it was resolved in the 16th meeting of the Board of Management to create the Project Management Unit (PMU) in NIEPA. Subsequently, the PMU was established vide Notification No.22-1/2012-Acad dated February, 02, 2014. |

NIEPA has constituted an Internal Research Review Committee to have sound mechanism and strategy to disseminate the research through publications in various forms like report book, research papers, occasional papers etc. IIRC also reviews the new research proposals submitted by the NIEPA faculty members before they are sent to the external reviewers for their comments. PMU assists the Internal Research Review Committee in the following ways: |
